Observatory Hill

Observatory Hill is located above the Mall and just a few minutes strolling distance from the Mall road. This hill is sacred for both Hindus and Buddhists. Mahakal Temple and Buddhist Shrine are sit besides. Mahakal is a manifestation of Lord Shiva. Observatory Hill is decorated by colourful flags which are used to pay homage. Number of visitors pay a visit to this hill not only for prayer but also to enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and other snow capped hills.
