Flora and Fauna in Jaldapara National Park  :

 
Jaldapara has the great variety of flora and fauna. Apart from one horned rhinos there are number of other animals which are spotted in the Jaldapara National Park. Royal Bengal tigers, Asian elephants, deers, sambar, barking deers, hog deers, spotted deers, wild pigs, bisons etc. Pythons, Monitor Lizards, Kraits, Cobras, Geckos and several species of fresh water turtles are found in Jaldapara National Park .
 
Jaldapara is also a very demanding place for the bird lovers due to its highly rich avifauna. Because of varied terrain, mosaic of vegetation and plenty of insect life.  Jaldapara National Park is one of the very few places in India where the Bengal Florican is found. The forest is home for More than 240 species of birds - including Orioles, Barbets, Woodpeckers, Parakeets, Hornbills, Drongos, Cuckoos, Babblers, Brahminy ducks, and whistling teals - are found in variety of habitat- Grassland, water bodies, woodland.

 Different types of vegetation make Jaldapara National Park a botanist’s paradise.
