SOHPETBNENG PEAK :

20 km from Shillong and situated at the height of 1343  m above sea level, Sohpetbneng Peak regarded as sacred by Hunniewtrep people. The  Hunniewtrep includes communities like Khasi, Jaintia, Bhoi and War Tribes. As per Khasi mythology the peak is considered as the “ Navel of Heaven” – meaning entrance to the Heaven.

The Sohpetbneng Peak is  set amidst  a beautiful scenic view against the backdrop of a sacred forest. The picturesque umbilical heavenly peak offers to fill spiritual void and emptiness to those who seek and desire solace and peace of mind.
