As there are number of Forests and National Parks in Dooars or Duars. So there is no dearth of wild animals, birds and number of endangered species. Indian Tiger, elephant and One Horned Rhino have made their habitat in Dooars. Apart from the above animals different types of Deer, Bison, Chital, Indian widl Dogs, Indian Wolf, Sloth Bear, Pygmy Hog, Giant Squirrels, Hispid Hare, Sambar Deer, Barking deer, Hog deer, Wild boar, etc. are available in the forets of Dooars.

 

Dooars is a heaven for bird watchers also. Number of common birds as well as rare species of birds are available in the jungle of  Dooars.
