Jaldapara National Park ( Jaldapara wild Life Sanctuary ) - Dooars :
Jaldapara National Park ( formerly Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary) located in the eastern Dooars of Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal. River Torsha cutting through the forest on its eastern side.Jaldapara National Park is located in one of the heaviest rainfall zones in the world. So the forest is mainly Savannah covered with tall elephant grass lands. Jaldapara Wild Life Sanctuary is drained by rivers such as Chirakhawa, Hollong, Torsha, Malangi, Kalijhora, Bhaluka, Buri Torsha, Sissamara etc.
Where to stay in Jaldapara National Park :
Hollong Forest bungalow is located in the mid of the Jaldapara National Park and is the most sought after by the visiting tourists. But as there are not many rooms so it is very difficult to get rooms in Hollong Forest Bungalow. Jaldapa Tourist Lodge is just outside of the forest and there are chances to get rooms as number of rooms are much higher than Hollong Forest Bungalow.
Apart from the above there are number of private hotels and lodges are outside of Jaldapara forest area.
