Borong

Borong is a small picturesque village and famous for its beautiful landscape and a superb view of snow capped mountains, towering Mt. Kanchenjunga. Borong can be reached by vehicle from Ravangla or by trekking from Meanam hill. It also hosts a Hot spring, the “ Borong Tsachu” located on the bank of river Rangeet – is a must visiting place. Between the months of January and March, pilgrims visit this hot spring for a rejuvenating dip. Borong also offers a fascinating trek – originating from Namchi or Damthng to Tendong-Ravangla-Meanam-Borong ( 5-6 days) which scale all the hill tops along the trek route.
