Detail Itinerary for Kalimpong - Gangtok - Pelling Tour under Sikkim Tour Package

Day 01: Bagdogra (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Kalimpong

Welcome on arrival at IXB/NJP meet our representative and transfer to Kalimpong (77kms/3hrs),), another quiet hill station in Eastern Himalaya. Kalimpong is famous for its Orchids & Nurseries and some of the rarest cacti & Orchids can be seen. Oak, Maple and Chestnut stretch up the ridge as far as the eye can reach. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02: Kalimpong Sightseeing & to Gangtok

Morning after breakfast followed half day sightseeing in & around Kalimpong covering Durpin Dhara, Zong Dong Palri Fo-Brong Monastery and flower & Orchid Nurseries Dr. Grahams Home, Delo View point and Kalimpong Market and drive to Gangtok [70 kms/ 3hrs] at an altitude of 5500ft Gangtok is the Capital of Sikkim is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscapes. Evening free for individual activity and leisure, overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Gangtok Local Sightseeing

After breakfast go for Gangtok local sightseeing covering Hanuman Tak,Ganesh Tak,Tashi view Point , Chortan, Stupa, Institute of Tibetology Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms along with Rumtek Monastery & Dharma Chakra Center (24Kms/45Mins), the sect of the Kargyupa Sect – one of the 4 major Tibetan Buddhist Sect. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight at hotel.

Day - 04: Day tour to Tsongo Lake & Baba Mandir

After breakfast half-day trip to Tsongo lake or Changu Lake (12400ft), which is only 32 kms from Gangtok City, the oval shaped lake is almost about 1Km long, and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people,After that visit 18 kms from the lake Baba Mandir, (temple of disappeared army personal) and back to Gangtok. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight at hotel.

Optional tour : Nathula the Indo-Chaina border is 20 kms. from Tsomgo lake (subject to availability of special permit for Indian tourist only)

Day - 05: Gangtok to Pelling - En Route visit Namchi - Chardham

Morning transfer to Pelling (133kms/5hrs). en route visit Namchi – Chardham. Located at an altitude of 6,800 ft, Pelling is a very small Himalayan Town in West Sikkim. Pelling is the nearest motorable point of Mt. Kanchendzonga, world’s 03rd highest peak, offers a good sunrise along with view of the entire Eastern Himalayan range. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Pelling Local Sightseeing

After breakfast start for full day local sightseeing in Pelling. In the fast half covering Rimbi Falls, Rock Garden, Sacred Kechodpalri Lake, and Kanchendzonga Falls. After lunch followed bythe second half of the days sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery (the 2nd oldest monastery of Sikkim), Rabdantsay Ruins (2^nd Capital of Sikkim) & Sunset Point Overnight at hotel.

Day - 07 : Pelling to Bagdogra (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri (NJP)

Morning departure Transfer to IXB/NJP ( 136kms/5hrs). Tour End.
